Norse Atlantic Airways Flight Change Policy

Norse Atlantic allows free changes within 24 hours of booking when made at least 7 days before departure. After this window:

• Light fares: $100-$200 change fee + fare difference
• Premium fares: $50-$150 change fee + fare difference
• Business Class: No change fee (just fare difference)

Free changes also apply when Norse makes significant schedule changes (>3 hours) to your flight.

Important: These are per person fees in addition to any fare difference. If your new flight is cheaper, you'll receive the difference as a travel credit.

Changes within 24 hours of departure are considered same-day changes with additional restrictions.

2. Enter booking reference (PNR) and last name
3. Select flight segment to change (outbound/return)
4. Click "Change Flight" and browse alternatives
5. Select new flight (note fees/fare differences)
6. Complete payment if required
7. Receive confirmation email with new e-ticket

Tip: The online system shows real-time availability. For complex changes (multiple passengers/special requests), you may need assistance.

Destination change rules vary:

• Light fares: Not allowed - must cancel and rebook
• Premium fares: $200 fee + fare difference (same continent only)
• Business Class: $150 fee + fare difference (any Norse route)

Process for destination changes:

1. Contact customer support
2. Request destination change (agent checks availability)
3. Pay applicable fee + fare difference
4. Receive new confirmation email

Note: You cannot change both origin and destination simultaneously.

When your new flight costs less after change fees:

• Travel credit: The difference is issued as a Norse Atlantic voucher
• Validity: Credits are valid for 12 months from issue date
• Usage: Applicable toward future Norse flights only
• Non-transferable: Only usable by original passenger

Example math:

• Original flight: $500
• New flight: $400
• Change fee: $100
• Credit: $0 ($500 - ($400 + $100))

No cash refunds are issued for fare differences.

Refund eligibility depends on fare type:

Exceptions for full refunds:

• Flight canceled by Norse Atlantic
• Significant schedule change (>3 hours)
• Documented emergencies (death/illness)
• Military orders (with documentation)

For medical emergencies:

• Documentation required: Medical certificate in English
• Process: Contact customer service immediately
• Possible outcomes:
  • Fee waiver (fare difference may still apply)
  • Extended change window
  • Travel credit for future use

Covered situations:

1. Hospitalization of passenger/immediate family
2. Death in immediate family
3. Natural disasters preventing travel

Note: "Immediate family" typically means spouse, domestic partner, parents, children, and siblings. Documentation must be verifiable.

Norse Atlantic's no-show policy is strict:

• Ticket forfeiture: Entire ticket value is lost
• No changes/refunds: Cannot modify after departure time
• Rebooking: Must purchase new ticket at current prices

To avoid this:

1. Change flights before departure (even last-minute)
2. Cancel if you can't travel (may receive partial credit)
3. Consider travel insurance for unexpected issues

Exceptions are extremely rare and require senior management approval.
